JSU Tigers @ TCU Horned Frogs Gamethread

Football returns to Frogville at last as TCU starts the season with a home game against the FCS Tigers.

A scream of hopeful triumph?
A scream of hopeful triumph?

It's been nine months. A child born in the last nine months has never known a world where TCU plays football, and have been living their lives in a sad state of ignorance since then. "Maybe this is as good as life will get", they would think. "No, child, the world is full of wonders and possibilities, and TCU will play football again," their parents would have to reassure them, and kids of that age are very trusting. Still, they don't know what it's like to hear the Frog Horn, to see the team run onto the field as the crowd roars and the band plays. To feel the electricity in the air at that first kickoff, to know that something spectacular could happen at any moment...

Your wait is over today, gentle children of the world. TCU will play football today, and in doing so will start to answer the questions that we have been turning over all season. Will the defense take a big step forward? How will the offense look under new management? Has Kenny Hill matured and developed from a streaky 2016 season? Will the O-line improve now that Jarrett Anderson is no longer coaching them? How badly will the inside receivers play now that Jarrett Anderson has been coaching them? Is this team actually going to be good? I don't know, but I've been waiting nine months to find out. Let's do it.

This is your gamethread to discuss the game as it happens and share your thoughts, gifs, reactions and all of that good stuff. We'll have some fun.

Go Frogs.
