TCU CB Julius Lewis out for season

Patterson revealed that TCU’s No. 2 corner suffered a season-ending injury in practice this week.

The Frogs are 4-0 after a huge win against Oklahoma State, but TCU fans received some less-than-stellar news in Gary Patterson’s postgame presser.

Jeff Gladney and Tony James filled in for Lewis on Saturday, and they’ll have to do so for the remainder of the season.

Lewis missed a good portion of the 2016 season as well, with an Achilles injury, so it’s not like Gladney and James are unfamiliar with a lot of playing time. With the way the rest of the secondary is looking, TCU may be able to mitigate the loss of Lewis, but it’s a big loss nonetheless.

Fortunately, Gladney and James will have plenty of time to prep for TCU’s next game, as the Frogs head into a bye week before playing host to West Virginia.
