What are we even doing here any more? I am pretty sure I lost all of my picks except the Bonus Bet of the Week (Trademarked), so that’s pretty neat. Thank you to Iowa State for making not a complete failure. I am officially an Iowa State fan now. Texas, my crown jewel is taking a much needed break by having a bye week after being back for so many weeks. LSU is back from the their swampy grave, and Wisconsin, both the school and the team, is good for literally nothing. Let’s get to this week’s bloodbath. Honestly I am turned all sorts of ways, and if I were you, I would do the opposite of what I do. Though, by me saying that, you would have to follow my picks to do do the opposite, quite the paradox.
All game lines are taken Thursday at 10:45 am CST
Game One: #6 Michigan (6-1) at #24 Michigan State (4-2)
Michigan opens as a 7 point favorite against the spartans. Michigan State is coming off their victory over Penn State. Michigan is coming off their large defeat (and cover) against Wisconsin.
MY PICK: Sparty
MY REASON: Call me crazy. Two big games in a row? No way. It seems unlikely, but this is a rivalry. You have to throw your analytics right in the trash for this game. I like sparty to keep it close.
Game Two: #9 Oklahoma (5-1) at TCU (3-3)
OU opens up as only an 8 point favorite against the Froggies who lost to Tech last Thursday evening. OU’s last game was a loss to the officially back Longhorns.
MY PICK: OU
MY REASON: Love the Frogs, but pick the Sooners. I don’t expect this game to be close.
Game Three: #16 NC State (5-0) at #3 Clemson (6-0)
NC state is ranked? That’s cool. Clemson is currently a 17.5 point favorite at home against the wolf pack. This is a tough game for me. My heart is leading me to pick NC State, but my head wants me to pick Clemson.
MY PICK: Wolf Pack
MY REASON: Have to go with my heart.
Game Four: #22 Mississippi State (4-2) at #5 LSU (6-1)
I am officially a glutton for punishment. LSU has betrayed me and yet I keep coming back for more. Something must be wrong with me. LSU keeps playing in big games, and keeps doing LSU things and I don’t know how to feel or what to think about it. Mississippi (Yes I spelled it out in my head) State is creepin’ in the top 25. LSU is a 6.5 point favorite in this game.
MY PICK: GIMME THEM TIGERS BABY
MY REASON: I’ll save the analysis for a psychologist here, but there must be some principle that forces me to keep picking these guys. Tiger bias maybe?
BONUS BET OF THE WEEK: OREGON (+3) ON THE MONEY LINE AGAINST WASHINGTON STATE
SECOND BONUS BET OF THE WEEK: TAKE ALABAMA (-29) AND THE POINTS TO COVER
I’m sorry in advance.
