The Associated Press released their preseason rankings on Monday, and TCU makes an appearance at No. 20.

The Frogs are between No. 19 Michigan and No. 21 UCLA, and are one of four ranked Big 12 teams to appear in the poll.
Kansas checks in as the top-ranked team, while Kansas State is ranked 12th, and West Virginia is ranked 13th. Texas Tech and Texas both received votes.
The ACC is the most-ranked conference, with seven schools ranked: No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Virginia, No. 8 North Carolina, No. 15 Virginia Tech, No. 16 Syracuse, No. 17 Florida State, and No. 22 Clemson.
The SEC has five ranked teams, but TCU’s opponent in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, Florida, isn’t one of them. The Gators are receiving votes, but are outside the Top 25 for now.
The Big 12 has been touted as the strongest basketball conference in the country in recent years, but based on rankings, and the fact that several key stars have graduated/gone to the NBA draft this past offseason, it looks like the ACC and SEC are more highly favored by the media heading into the 2018-19 season.
