TCU isn’t playing well, really, but they’ve done enough to carry a 10-7 lead into the half.
A 56-yard touchdown pass from Michael Collins to Jalen Reagor pushed TCU ahead in the final few minutes of the half, after TCU’s offense had failed to get in the end zone in its two trips to the red zone.
Kansas opened the game with a perfectly executed 75-yard drive, capped with a Pooka Williams touchdown drive to put the Jayhawks up 7-0.
After that, though, TCU’s defense shut Kansas down, allowing just 14 yards of offense for the remainder of the half. Ben Banogu recorded two sacks, and TCU’s secondary, battered and bruised, left little room for Bender to operate.
In injury news, Ty Summer and Niko Small we’re both carted back to the locker room, and their status to return is unknown.
