TCU Soccer has made incredible improvement the last few seasons. They went 12-4-3 this season and earned an NCAA bid for the third season in a row. The team hosted a watch party last night and learned they would be hosting BYU this Friday.

The Frogs have had a fantastic season with some tough luck in the Big 12 Tournament. They faced Texas Tech and were tied 0-0 after the second overtime. Tech advanced on penalty kicks. Now six Big 12 teams will advance to the NCAA Tournament, including TCU, Baylor, Kansas, Texas, Texas Tech, and West Virginia. Baylor won the regular season, but West Virginia captured the Big 12 Championship title this year. This is the third time in the last five seasons that the Big 12 has sent six teams to the NCAA Tournament. All six teams will play host in Round 1.

BYU has a 13-4-1 record and enters the Tournament as the West Coast Conference Champion. They average 2.67 goals per game (#3 in the country), while TCU averages .8 goals allowed per game (#47 in the country). That should make this game a battle of pure determination and grit.

The winner of Round 1 will continue to Round 2 on Friday, November 16. They’ll play the winner of the Texas A&M/North Texas game.

You can get tickets for Friday night’s game by visiting gofrogs.com or by calling the TCU Ticket Office at 817-257-FROG (3764). Tickets are $10/adult or $5/ages 3-17. Students, of course, are FREE. Congratulations to TCU Women’s Soccer and GO FROGS!
