JT’s Jungle: Nobody Want Bama

3-2 won’t buy you a steak dinner, but it’s a winning week and I will never scoff at that. How about that West Virginia pick? Texas is still back tho . . . Last week officially confirmed that it’s Alabama’s world and everyone else is just living in it. Finally, we almost had K-State on the money line, which would have been all parts, rewarding, funny, and demoralizing. Anyway, let’s get into it this week.

All game lines are taken Thursday at 10:45 am CST

Game One: #10 Ohio State (8-1) at #18 Michigan State (6-3)

Ohio State is only a 3.5 point favorite in this game. This feels like a joke line (trigger words, bet the opposite of me here). Michigan State has looked very unconvincing in some of their wins this year (See Penn State). Ohio State likewise hasn’t looked as dominant since their loss to Purdue.

MY PICK: Buckeyes

MY REASON: The line is too small here. Ohio State may lose, but the chance of Michigan State losing and still covering is slim. Plus I think Ohio State will win big here.

Game Two: #16 Mississippi State (6-3) at Alabama (9-0)

Alabama is a 23.5 point favorite in this game. The Tide have showed no signs of slowing down or stopping. Mississippi State, on the other hand, has looked pretty steady in its last couple games against A&M and LA Tech.

MY PICK: C’mon. Roll Tide

MY REASON: I will ride this train until they fail me.

Game Three: Oklahoma State (5-4) at #6 Oklahoma (8-1)

Oklahoma is a 20 point favorite to open up. THIS GAME WILL BE BEDLAM! (I’ll see myself out) This game is usually played pretty close. I mean it’s rivalry so you just have to throw all your statistics out the window. Oklahoma State is coming off a tough loss to a greatly improved Baylor team. Of course, Oklahoma is cruising through their schedule like they’re sailing the Mediterranean.

MY PICK: Cowboys

MY REASON: I like Oklahoma State to cover here. The spread is just too many points for a rivalry game.

Game Four: #24 Auburn (6-3) at #5 Georgia (8-1)

The Dawgs open up as a 14 point favorite. Auburn had a comeback game against the Aggies last week, and the Dawgs beat Kentucky last week in convincing fashion. The Dawgs have served me well this year, with exception to the LSU game. Auburn has had some offensive struggles this season, but seemed to find a groove late last game.

MY PICK: WAR EAGLE

MY REASON: I have no logical reason for this pick. Sometimes you just have to go with your gut.

BONUS BET OF THE WEEK: TEXAS TECH (+2) ON THE MONEY LINE AGAINST THE THE TEAM THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED BUT IS BACK
