Small town. Big dreams. Congrats, @jfoster_19! #FrogFam pic.twitter.com/cNnyol1wyl
Foster is one of three commits from Newton, including Tamauzia Brown and Darwin Barlow. While Brown and Barlow project on the offensive side of the ball in college, Foster will move to defense full time in Patterson’s system.
Foster has had a huge role in leading Newton to the Texas 3A Division II State championship game, where he and his teammates will face Texas panhandle powerhouse Canadian.
Foster is an elite athlete, ranking as the No. 81 athlete in the class. He also held offers from Arkansas, Utah, Baylor, and Vanderbilt, among others.
While its unlikely Foster’s teammate Barlow signs today, the Frogs could still see Tamauzia Brown’s NLI come through in a bit.
