Special teams was a sore subject for TCU fans for most of the year, but it’s possible TCU has found a solution to a piece of the puzzle in Australian punter Jordan Sandy.

Sandy becomes the tenth kicking specialist to join TCU’s roster, and sixth punter.
Sandy was a long time Texas Tech commit, but the firing of head coach Kliff Kingsbury pushed him to consider other options. He is the No. 5 rated punter in the 2019 class, and is TCU’s only leg man of this cycle to date.
He has an absolutely monster leg, and looks like he could double as a safety at 6-2, 200 pounds.
It’s strange, with so many options on the roster, to say that punter is a position of need, but it was for TCU in 2018, and it looks like the coaches are ready to address said need. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of roster shakeups happen as a result of this move, as none of the current specialists are seniors.
Welcome to the Frog Fam, Jordan!
