JUCO DT Soni Misi becomes fifth DL to sign with TCU

He’s another big body at a position of need.

TCU added another player in the trenches, when JUCO defensive tackle Soni Misi signed with the Frogs.

Misi is a 6-2, 305 pounder who will add some depth to TCU’s interior defensive line. We saw what happened when Ross Blacklock went down with a season ending injury in fall practice, and Misi, who has 3 years to play 2, can be a contributor right away. Misi has incredible strength, and he uses leverage well to get by offensive linemen.

He’s a monster against the run, which means he’ll fit right in at TCU.

Misi hails from Santa Rosa Junior College, the same program that produced TCU great Jason Verrett.

Misi was getting looks from UCLA, Cal, and a few other west coast schools upon choosing TCU, and he rates as the No. 11 JUCO defensive tackle in this class.

With Misi’s signing, all of TCU’s current defensive line commits are now signed. Misi is the 17th Frog to sign today.

Welcome to the Frog Fam, Soni!
