Why TCU’s recruiting class could be the best in school history | The Star-Telegram

Well, it already is. Between Rogers, Hunt, and Wilson, it has the making of something special.

You have to love Ben Wilson out of Washington. For them to go out there and steal one of the state’s best players out of the Huskies back yard was big. He’s a classic linebacker, Clay Matthews type with long, blond hair. He is 6-2, 220 and plays like a maniac. He was the linebacker that they pegged early on as a must-get priority. He has great speed. What impressed me is late in his senior year, his school moved him to running back and this guy started to average 200 yards rushing the ball. It’s always about the athleticism at TCU and that’s one thing Ben Wilson has a lot of. He’s going to be a special player for them.

TCU football: Legal experts review Listenbee, TCU case | The Star-Telegram

I hope that whatever needs to happen in this suit happens quickly, and that neither party has their reputations or careers destroyed in the process. But the most important thing is truth.

“The bullying thing could be a big plus for him (Listenbee),” Dunn said. “Let’s say it’s a close call on everything, so then the little things are what can persuade a jury. Let’s say it’s a close call for the jury, but Patterson comes across as a bully. They’re going to rule in the kid’s favor even if the kid really wasn’t rushed back too quickly just because Patterson’s a bully.

“A lawsuit is like a play or a dramatic movie where the jury is trying to figure out who the good guy is and the bad guy is. One expert says he was rushed back, one expert says he wasn’t. One says he would’ve made it in NFL, one says he wouldn’t. So the jury doesn’t know who to side with.

“But, if the one thing they know is Patterson is a jerk, or Patterson is a great granddad to these kids, that could be the determining factor. How are they going to view Patterson?”

TCU Looks for First Ever Win at Kansas | NBC DFW

Might need some divine intervention on this one.

TCU has been one of the best shooting teams in the nation all season. The Frogs have eight players who have made 10 or more three-pointers so far in 2017-18. TCU ranks second in the Big 12 and ninth in the NCAA in scoring offense, averaging 85.8 points per game and currently lead the conference in assists with 19.7.

Kansas is led by Big 12 Preseason Player of the Year, Devonte Graham, whose 17.2 points per game rank third and 7.5 assists rank second in the Big 12. The Jayhawks lead the all-time series at 15-2, which includes a 6-0 advantage in Lawrence, Kansas.

Road to the NCAA tournament looks rough, but TCU can still make it there | The Star-Telegram

I still believe.

A year ago, Oklahoma State earned a 10-seed with a 9-9 league record and Kansas State earned an 11-seed with an 8-10 league record.

TCU, if you’ve already forgotten, finished 6-12 in the Big 12 a year ago and ended up winning the National Invitational Tournament.

TCU still ranked among the top 30 in the ratings percentage index rankings, or RPI. The Frogs are No. 29 in the latest update. Only Kansas (No. 9), Oklahoma (No. 14) and Tech (No. 15) rank higher in the Big 12. West Virginia is at No. 35 and Texas is at No. 39.
