A story broke on WFAA Tuesday morning, reporting that Trevone Boykin had allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Shabrika Bailey, about a week ago, choking her and breaking her jaw.
Boykin has since been released from the Seattle Seahawks, who signed him as an undrafted free agent back in 2016.

He makes a clear and firm claim of innocence, a stance commonly taken by people who have been accused of domestic violence. Now, it’s up to the courts to decide who is telling the truth: Boykin or Bailey.
