TCU secured their sixth commitment of the class of 2019 when Longview offensive tackle Marcus Williams made his pledge Monday evening. A three star prospect, Williams chose the Frogs over Baylor, Houston, SMU, and others.
Rated a top 100 tackle in the class of 2019, the 6’5”, 285 pounder out of Longview High fills a huge need for TCU, who has lost, and will lose, several offensive lineman to graduation over the past three seasons. The o-line has been a priority for Gary Patterson and his staff, who signed five offensive linemen in the class of 2018 - including two tackles. He is the second tackle to commit in the class of 2019, joining Justin Osborne.
Coach Patterson spoke Sunday about how important developing the offensive line talent at TCU currently, and coming down the pipeline, is, and Williams is a great step in the right direction. He looks to have all the tools to be a standout in the trenches for years to come. GP, for one, is excited:
Recruiting is heating up!
