OL standout Andrew Coker commits to the Frogs!

The Katy native chose TCU from among 17 offers.

The Frogs won a massive recruiting battle Friday night, securing the pledge of offensive lineman Andrew Coker, a 6’6”, 310 pound three star recruit out of Taylor High in Katy, TX.

Heavily pursued by the SEC, including Georgia, A&M, and Florida, Coker picked TCU over those schools and 18 others. He also held offers from four Big 12 schools, including Texas and Oklahoma. A top 50 tackle in the country, Coker was at the top of the Frogs’ wish list for OT in the class of 2019.

The third tackle to commit in the cycle, the one-time Florida pledge joins Marcus Williams and Justin Osborne on the offensive line. He is the 11th commit of the class and the fifth on offense - four of whom will be protecting 2019 QB Max Duggan. A multi-sport athlete who excels on the basketball court as well, Coker is a mauler who had 93 pancakes during his junior campaign. He could be an instant impact player for TCU once he arrives on campus, as the Frogs look to rebuild an offensive line that has taken some big hits due to graduation over the past few seasons.
