TCU scores commitment from four-star ATH Tamauzia Brown | Dallas Morning News
Brown plays cornerback and wide receiver in high school, but is being recruited as a receiver for the Frogs. He is now the highest rated recruit in TCU’s 2019 class, per 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings.
Brown committed to TCU over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and others.
Brown racked up close to 1,500 yards of total offer and recorded 12 interceptions as he led Newton the 3A DII state championship.
Four-star RB Darwin Barlow discusses commitment to TCU | Rivals.com
Barlow is one of the top running backs in the state of Texas, and landing him is absolutely huge for TCU. He seems to be a kid with his head on straight, too. He understands the value of multiple running backs in the same class, as TCU already has a commitment from another RB as well.
“They told me that they [Anderson and Olonilua] are almost out of there and the offense that they run is a two-back offense,” he said. “They don’t want one person to take all the beating - they want to swap guys out, swap guys in - and they told me that I could work my way in and be playing as a freshman.”
Everyone will be talking about Brown, and rightfully so, but Barlow is going to be a beast at the next level.
Barlow is a highly-touted running back, ranking No. 28 in the nation by 247Sports, and the No. 2 RB in Texas.
Barlow rushed for 2,246 yards and 38 touchdowns as a junior last season, helping Newton win the Class 3A, Division II state championship.
