10 key players every TCU fan must know in 2018 | Dallas Morning News

The usual suspects are on here - Anderson, Robinson, Banogu...but also a few others, like Lucas Niang. TCU’s reconstructed offensive line has to be effective in order for the offense to succeed, and Niang will be a big part of that.

4. Lucas Niang

Junior OT / 6-7, 328 pounds

Notable: With so many potent weapons at the skill positions, TCU’s glaring hole on the offensive side of the ball is the O-line, which lost four starters in the offseason. Anderson, Olonilua and Robinson’s ability to get things moving on the ground will be greatly limited if the line can’t hold. Not to mention that Robinson’s passing potential would also suffer. After starting eight games last season, junior Lucas Niang can anchor TCU’s O-line at either end. He’s most experienced on the right side, but is competing for the spot at left tackle.

TCU’s prized recruit Justin Rogers is No. 13. What about the other newcomers? | Fort Worth Star Telegram

There are a lot of new old numbers on this TCU squad. Emari Demarcado got No. 21, Kyle Hicks’ old number, and freshman WR Tevailance Hunt got No. 9, the same number as Josh Doctson and John Diarse.

The full list of numbers for the new guys is in the link above, but here are a few:

Taye Barber (4)

John Stephens Jr. (7)

Anthony McKinney (68)

Ochaun Mathis (58)

Jawuan Johnson (1)

Ben Wilson (18)

Atanza Vongor (9)

Trevon Moehrig-Woodard (17)

Ar’Darius Washington (27)

TCU pushes to earn Big 12 title, is No. 20 in preseason college football rankings | Orlando Sentinel

The Sentinel is working its way through a Top 25 of its own, and TCU checks in at No. 20. The writer mentions all the usual suspects, but has this interesting stat about the receiving corps.

The Horned Frogs return just over 40 percent of their production from last season at wide receiver but sophomore Jalen Reagor is a solid foundation to build off of. Reagor was named the Big 12 Co-offensive Freshman of the Year after collecting 576 yards with a team-high eight touchdowns. Joining Reagor will be a pair of seniors in KaVontae Turpin (394 yards) and Jaelan Austin (242 yards).

Josh Doctson is finally healthy, and he’s ready to have a monster year for the Washington Redskins. Teammate Jordan Reed is excited to see what Doc will do this season.

“He’s going to dominate this year. He’s going to ball out for sure,” Reed said, via The Washington Post. “I’ve been with him for three years now and this is the best he’s looked to me — by far. Just the way he’s attacking the ball and controlling his body and running his routes. His body control is off the charts. He’s looking great.”
