TCU Men’s Basketball released the tip off times for their non-conference schedule this week, allowing Frog fans to set their calendars for what promises to be another exciting season on the hardwood.
Jamie Dixon’s Horned Frogs will open the season with an 8:00pm contest against Cal State Bakersfield on Wednesday November 7th in a game set to broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest.
Game two features Oral Roberts in a 4:00pm start on Sunday, November 11th, continuing a six game season to open TCU’s season slate. Following ORU, the Frogs host Fresno State on Thursday, November 15th at 8:00pm, before playing a pair of 7:00pm tips against Lipscomb (November 20th) and Eastern Michigan (November 26th). The home stand closes against Central Michigan on Friday, November 30th, against Central Michigan at 6:30pm.
The Frogs’ first road game will follow, when they travel to Dallas to take on SMU, with tip-off time TBA. That is followed by a West Coast matchup with USC as part of the Basketball Hall of Fame Classic. Back home on Sunday, December 16th, TCU welcomes in Indiana State for a 4:00pm showdown.
TCU’s non-con slate closes with three games in Hawaii as part of the Diamond Head Classic and a fourth on the islands when they play Hawaii Pacific.
Single game tickets for TCU’s non-conference games will be available for purchase on Nov. 3.
The Horned Frogs return five starters from last season’s team that went 21-12 overall and a program-best 9-9 in the Big 12, good for fifth place in the conference. TCU reached the postseason for the second-straight season and made the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 20 years.
