JT’s Jungle: Take Two

Well last week was rough, but let’s get back on the horse.

Woof… brutal stretch so far and a tough look for me last week. I believe I have successfully gotten all of the bad picks out of my system and out of the way for the remainder of the season to be full of wins.

Let’s do this.

All game lines are taken Friday at 10:45 am CST

Game One: USC (1-2) vs. Washington State (3-0)

Somehow, USC is 4.5 favorite against the undefeated Cougs… USC has looked really terrible in their last two games and I paid for it dearly last week. Washington State has not had much competition until this game and looks to go into the Coliseum and get a victory

MY PICK: Washington State

MY REASON: USC has just looked too awful for me to have any faith in them. I really am not sure what sort of team Leach has, but I, in the very least, am willing to venture that they can cover here.

Game Two: #22 Texas A&M (2-1) At #1 Alabama

The Aggies look to go into Tuscaloosa and survive the Tide. Alabama, who is a 26 point favorite, is coming off a game where beat Ole Miss to a pulp. A game that once had a lot of prestige and intrigue was diminished to what appeared to be a tune up game for Alabama.

MY PICK: Aggies

MY REASON: I know Alabama has looked incredibly strong this season, but I keep coming back to the game a couple weeks ago where the aggies looked strong against Clemson. Clemson is by no means as strong as Alabama, but the size of the spread makes me comfortable that the aggies can hang in there for long enough, or in the very least provide a back door cover: my favorite kind.

Game Three: #17 TCU (2-1) vs. Texas (2-1)

TCU is currently a 3 point favorite against the longhorns as they get ready to head down to austin and rebound after a tough loss to Ohio State. Texas is coming off a decisive victory against a bad team and is looking to keep the momentum going.

MY PICK: Froggies

MY REASON: In what feels like a bet the farm/take out a second mortgage type of line, The Frogs are only favored by three points. I have a hunch that TCU will continue their trend over the past four years and demolish Texas into oblivion. I am normally very reluctant to bet TCU because they’ve just let me down so many times over the years, but I feel very confident here. (Famous last words.)

Game Four: #7 Stanford (3-0) at #20 Oregon (3-0)

Stanford opens up as a 2.5 point favorite against The Ducks. The game will be in Eugene and will bring all of the pomp and circumstance that usually follows the College Game Day atmosphere. It should be a very good game im my opinion.

MY PICK: Go Cardinal

MY REASON: Like I said, I think it will be close, but I think Bryce Love will be a lot to handle and I expect them to win by a touchdown.

BONUS BET OF THE WEEK: BROWN (-21) AGAINST HARVARD ON FRIDAY NIGHT BECAUSE WHY NOT

You’re welcome in advance.

Onward.
