Can the Frogs get to 3-2 with a win over the Cyclones?

TCU is coming off of back to back losses for the first time since October 2016, and they’re trying to avenge a 2017 loss to Iowa State that ruined a then-perfect season.

While the Frogs have been disappointed with the results of the last two weeks, today presents an opportunity to get a win heading into the bye week, and the rest of the Big 12 schedule.

Some key things to keep an eye on:

  1. TCU’s offensive struggles - The Frogs have seen their offensive efficiency fall dramatically over the last six quarters of play. If they continue to struggle, Iowa State is good enough offensively to keep this game close.
  2. How do the Frogs come out of halftime? - The third quarter has been abysmal for TCU the past two weeks. What kind of halftime adjustments can they make to come out on fire in the second half?
  3. No Niko Small - Markell Simmons will get some run today with Niko Small out of the game. How does Small’s absence affect TCU’s secondary?
