The Horned Frogs held steady in Tuesday’s release of the AP Poll, maintaining their grip on the #16 spot after their dominance of an overmatched Southern team and subsequent 55-7 week one win.

There wasn’t much movement at the very top, as Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia stayed put, in that order. Ohio State jumped Wisconsin - I guess because they played Oregon State? - meaning the Frogs will likely face a top four team when the Buckeyes come to Arlington in week three.

Around the Big 12, OU rose from seven to six and WVU leap-frogged the Horned Frogs up to 14th, while Oklahoma State, Iowa State (who has yet to play a game), and Kansas State (who barely squeaked by South Dakota) are all receiving votes.

LSU was the week’s biggest climber, going from 25th to 11th after thrashing then #8 Miami , who fell to 22. Va Tech was also a big winner, going from 20 to 12 after dominating FSU in Tallahassee Monday night.

Auburn, Notre Dame, Washington (who lost to Auburn), and Stanford round out the top ten. The Huskies, Michigan, and The U all stayed ranked despite losing their openers - albeit to (now) top ten teams.
