FanPulse Week 7: LSU should be #1

No one has a better resume than the Tigers.

LSU has moved up to #2 in the week seven FanPulse rankings, but - in my mind at least - the Tigers should have overtaken the Crimson Tide after dispatching Florida Saturday in Baton Rouge.

Clemson continues their “free fall”, dropping to third in week seven, with Ohio State and Oklahoma battling for one of the coveted top four spots. After losing to the Sooners in the Red River Rivalry, Texas fell to 14th, while SMU is all the way up to 17. Which is big, as the G5 school they’re chasing, Boise State, is currently 13th and within striking distance.

The fans have finally acknowledged that Baylor is for real (boo!), moving the Bears up to 21st. The most interesting inclusion in App State, who makes their 2019 debut at #24. The only other Big 12 team to receive votes was Oklahoma State. For what it’s worth, TCU fans voted Baylor 18th and Okie State 25th.

In other voting action, the fans have LSU QB Joe Burrow as the Heisman favorite, with Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts and Wisconsin running back Jonathan Taylor close behind. Finally, after falling all the way to 30% after the loss at Iowa State, TCU fans’ confidence level is up to 60% off of the bye week.
