Week 9 FanPulse: Texas is not back

TCU knocked the Horns out of the Top 25. You’re welcome, America.

Hello, happy Frog fans!

All is good in Funky Town, as Frog fans are feeling really good about the state of the program after TCU Football upset Texas on their home field last weekend. Just check out this confidence poll:

Moving on up, baby!

Meanwhile, around the ranked teams in the land, we have a new fan #1, as the LSU Tigers took advantage of somewhat uninspiring performances from other contenders to leap frog Alabama ahead of the meeting of the two powers in two weeks.

Ohio State stays in the top five as well, at three, with Clemson at four, and newly-crowned top five team Penn State taking the fifth spot — vacated by Oklahoma after the Sooners dropped a road contest to Kansas State in Manhattan.

OU dropped to eighth after the L, just barely ahead of #10 Baylor (whut). Undefeated SMU takes the 14th position, vacated by the Horns. The Sooners and Bears are the Big 12’s only ranked teams this week.

TCU fans generally agreed with the voting public, though they had Baylor and SMU each one spot higher.
