In a move that comes with little surprise, TCU Athletic Director Jeremiah Donati announced Wednesday that Schollmaier Arena would join baseball in football in allowing beer sales during Horned Frog basketball games this season.
UPDATE‼️ Starting this season we will now provide beer for sale in Schollmaier Arena during men’s and women’s basketball games. As always, please enjoy responsibly‼️ #GoFrogs pic.twitter.com/SWwF0OUHP0

A program was first piloted at Lupton Stadium, where beer was sold for the final seven games on the 2018 season. The sales continued in 2019 and carried over to football, with Amon G Carter offering a wide variety of beer, cider, and hard seltzer options this season.
Now basketball will join the fray.
As with club seating at The Carter, alcohol has been available pregame and at halftime to those who belong to the Moncrief Club. Now it will be more widely available across the concourse.
TCU Women’s Basketball begins hoops season with a home game on Tuesday, November 5th at 12:00pm. The men follow suite on November 7th, when they host Southwestern for a 7:30pm tip-off.
