From Barbuda to the Big 12: Inside Kevin Samuel’s improbable rise at TCU | The Star-Telegram
Big Kev is a great dude and an incredible talent.
Samuel is the first to play major Division I basketball from the West Indies country. That has given Samuel rock star status in his homeland, according to his mother.
“Oh, yes, he is because he’s the first from over here that has really gone that far,” said Rose, who is hopeful to see her son play for TCU in person for the first time next season.
“We watch every game we can, but not all of them because we don’t get some of the channels. But we’re very proud of him and how far he’s come from a small Caribbean island. Not many people know about Barbuda.”
Football:
Ex-TCU DE Isaiah Chambers transferring from Houston, too | NBC Sports
The talented defensive end will be a good addition to any program. I would take him back, lol.
As many have before him, maybe Isaiah Chambers believes the third time will be a charm?
With speculation swirling earlier in the day, a Houston official confirmed that Chambers’ name is now officially listed in the NCAA transfer database. Chambers, who subsequently acknowledged his decision to leave on Twitter, is expected to graduate from UH next spring, which would make the redshirt junior eligible to play immediately for another FBS program in 2020.
Nicholls to host Mississippi Valley State in 2020, play at TCU in 2023 | FBS Schedules
The future schedule is taking shape, and this is a really good FCS program.
Nicholls will travel to take on the TCU Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Nicholls will receive a $575,000 guarantee for playing the game, per the copy of the contract.
The 2023 contest between Nicholls and TCU will mark their first-ever meeting on the gridiron.
Nicholls competes in the Southland Conference in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). The Colonels (9-4, 7-2) won the Southland championship this season which automatically qualified them for the 2019 FCS Playoffs.
Big 12 football power poll: Sooners finish at No. 1; Texas mired in meh | Hook ‘Em
Fair.
8. (7) TCU (5-7)
TCU entered the week with a chance to reach a bowl game, but came three points shy of forcing overtime at home against West Virginia. The Horned Frogs enter the offseason with plenty of questions on the offensive side of the football.
