The Sweet Sixteen brought the drama and great games that we crave out of March Madness. Coach K and Duke survived again, saved by their opponent’s unfriendly rim. Tennessee worked back from a huge deficit to take the lead late, but couldn’t come away with a second consecutive OT win. But there were also blowouts as Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Michigan State, and Auburn thoroughly outclassed their opponents.
The surviving entries in our pool were cut down in about half, primarily by the Vol and Tar Heel losses - accounting for 11 of the eliminations from this round. We have our own super sixteen advancing to the next round.
In the Elite Eight, entrants only have to select one winner for the weekend. This was the round that crowned a winner last season. Will any of these still be alive to make a Final Four?

Note to remaining entries: make sure to get your form submitted before Texas Tech vs. Gonzaga tips off tonight at 5:09 PM. Review the above table and make sure you do not pick a team you have already used so far in the Tournament. We have tiebreakers in the form this time, in case everyone is eliminated or there is no outright winner. Tiebreaker #2 will only apply if there is still a tie after the first tiebreaker. Submit the form below or click this link if you cannot see the form in your browser.
