TCU secures the commitment of stud 2020 wide receiver Danny Gray

Blinn receiver Danny Gray is staying close to home to continue his football career.

TCU Football secured the pledge of another top talent for the class of 2020 over the weekend when Blinn Community College wide receiver Danny Gray committed to the Horned Frogs.

Gray is 6’1”, 180 pound three star prospect who chose TCU from among 14 offers, including Auburn, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Tennessee. He is rated as the sixth-best pass catcher amongst juco players and the #3 prospect in the state of Texas.

Gray originally signed with Missouri out of Madison High School in Dallas, where he was District MVP as a sophomore and an All-District selection as a junior. He had 16 receptions for 409 yards and six touchdowns in his first season at Blinn, which helped him draw a lot of interest from big time programs across the country. But the opportunity to stay home and play for his “dream school” sold the talented player on TCU.

A speedster who earned a state championship in track at Madison, Gray adds a downfield threat to the TCU offense. He is the third wide receiver to commit in the class of 2020, joining Caleb Medford out of Henderson, TX and Blake Nowell out of Ardmore, OK. The Frogs have eight commits in their 36th ranked class, which is also the third-highest rated group in the Big 12. Six of the eight committed players are on the offensive side of the ball.
