Football:
Mississippi prospect Jimmy Holiday impressed with TCU OV | 247 Sports
The family feel extends to the players too, and they were happy to share it with their most recent visitor.
Holiday says the favorite aspect of his visit was simply seeing how well the players got along and worked hard during the off-season.
“The players there are very disciplined and treated each other like family,” Holiday said. “Even the freshman that just got there.”
Holiday was hosted on his visit by senior receiver Dylan Thomas. If there is a player that can understand Holiday’s ability, it’s Thomas. Thomas was once a quarterback in high school that has made the transition to receiver. Holiday says he enjoyed having Thomas as a host.
“He’s just really good man very straight forward with things,” he said.
Basketball:
TCU Horned Frogs to host 2020 4-star Eddie Lampkin for official visit | CBB Today
There will be some star power in the class of 2020 for Jamie Dixon.
Lampkin’s recruitment process involves plenty of other programs, including the Texas Longhorns. A Texas native, it makes sense that local programs are in on the young man. It’s also worth noting the Oklahoma Sooners are chasing after the 6-foot-10 big man.
As for Lampkin, a talented big man, not all reputable recruiting service outlets agree that he’s a four-star. Some do have Eddie Lampkin as a three. As an example, 247Sports not only have him as a three-star, but outside their top-200 board.
That being said, the Texas product is drawing plenty of attention from other solid programs, including the LSU Tigers.
Pro Frogs:
Always fun to see LT weigh-in on pros across the league.
“I had an opportunity to talk to Deshaun a couple of months ago,” said Tomlinson. “We both went into the Boys and Girls Hall of Fame in Houston, and he looked in great shape.
“He said ‘Man, that’s the one thing that I’m so happy with, that this time I’m healthy and I can just focus on getting better,’ and when Deshaun says that, as talented as he is, I just think he’s gonna light it up. And the offense is going to follow him.”
