Best of the Fort: The Eats and Drinks of Funky Town

Fort Worth isn’t considered a “college town” by many; TCU was all but an afterthought where The West Begins until a meeting at Yogi’s between a certain coach and a certain mayor changed all that. And while there is something special about going to a school in a town that is ALL ABOUT THAT SCHOOL, there’s something equally as awesome about attending college in a booming semi-metropolis like Fort Worth.

One of the biggest benefits is a culture that extends far beyond chain restaurants and college bars (though there are plenty of those), and thus, we have decided to take on the challenge of pointing Frog fans toward some of the best options around. Some will be newly established joints, others old favorites. We aren’t getting comped any meals or drinks for this service (but hey, our inbox is open if you want to) and we aren’t claiming to be expert evaluators. This series is more about checking out cool spots and sharing them with the Frogs O’ War community.

We will post these as we stumble upon places worth talking about, and they’ll feature the writing of many of our awesome staff members. We may also drop in highlights from across the country if you plan on following the Frogs to any away destinations.
