After upending Purdue on their home field, and in a week where the Big 12 went 5-2 against Power Five opponents, the TCU Horned Frogs have entered the AP Poll for the first time in 2019.

The Horned Frogs are one of only three ranked Big 12 teams after week three, joining Oklahoma (5th) and Texas (12th). Both programs are coming off of wins - the Sooners over UCLA in Los Angeles and Texas over Rice.

TCU’s opponent in the greatest bowl game in history, Cal, enters for the first time in 2019, having defeated a solid North Texas team this weekend after dispatching Washington in Seattle the week prior. Teams in the top 25 with a loss include Texas, Texas A&M, and Oregon. Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State are all in the “receiving votes” category.

TCU returns home to take on SMU, a 3-0 team for the first time since 1984. Hoo boy this should be fun.
