Jamie Dixon has been hard at work on the recruiting trail, and Friday night it paid off with the commitment of three star center Eddie Lampkin.

Lampkin made his decision in front of family and friends, broadcasting it live in social media as well:

Standing 6’10” and weighing in at nearly 300 pounds, the big body out of Katy (Morton Ranch High School) fills a big need (literally) for the Frogs in the future. Lampkin had ten offers, including the Aggies, Arkansas, Baylor, and Oklahoma.
Though clearly a big body, Lampkin is smooth and faster than you think, with great court sense. In addition to averaging a double-double (14 points and 10 rebounds), he was good for 2.4 assists per game his junior season as well.
Rated the 17th best player in Texas in the class of 2020, Lampkin is a top 50 center in the country and a top 300 player overall. With Kevin Samuel quickly rising up the draft boards, having a freshman in the pipeline the caliber of Lampkin is huge for TCU.
The Frogs open their season on November 7th when they host Southwestern.
