TCU News: Derius Davis a bright spot for the Frogs

TCU WR Derius Davis labeled a ‘bright spot’ early on. Will his role increase vs. OU? | Fort Worth Star Telegram

Gary Patterson spoke highly of the junior wide receiver on Tuesday, and we could see Davis’ role increase is JD Spielman is unavailable this weekend.

“No problem at all. He’s night and day difference from what he was a year ago as far as confidence and all the things he does,” Patterson said. “He’s definitely one of our bright spots on our football team this year. He’s been unbelievable.”

Gotta find out a way to draw some energy, because the limited size crowds can only do so much.

Patterson said when the team traveled to Austin you could feel the energy and that same energy has not been felt at home.

“We have to be fired up to play everyone,” Patterson said. “Not just Texas.”

TCU basketball releases opening opponent in Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City | Fort Worth Star Telegram

The Frogs will square off against Tulsa on November 28th.

The Frogs will then face either Northwestern or South Carolina on Nov. 29.

It’ll be a big weekend for TCU athletics in the KC area with the football team taking on Kansas in nearby Lawrence on Nov. 28. Unfortunately for hoops fans, the Hall of Fame Classic will be closed to the general public.
