The highest-rated player in the Horned Frogs’ 2021 class signed his LOI Wednesday morning, locking in a commitment that he made all the way back in April.

Chris Murray is an absolute beast, and fits the mold of exactly what TCU Football is looking for in a QB Hunter. At 6’3” and 240 pounds, he certainly looks the part, and a season in the weight room of a college program will only help. A Wichita Falls product, Murray was a teammate of current Horned Frog running back Daimarqua Foster at Hirschi High School, where the two racked up accolades and wins for the Huskies.
With 13 sacks as a junior and a solid season as a senior (where he started at QB some for the Huskies, too), Murray vaulted himself into a top 30 strong-side defensive end prospect nationally, as well as a top 60 overall recruit in the Lone Star State’s 2021 recruiting cycle. TCU snagged him despite the defensive end holding 15 offers, including one from Colorado, where his older brother plays.
Can’t wait to see him tormenting Big 12 QBs in the near future.
