RANK THEM, COWARDS.

Seriously, how this team remains on the outside looking in is beyond me, but they are getting harder and harder to ignore with each win. Sunday afternoon against Oklahoma State, the Horned Frogs notched their 20th win of the year in a game where they did not play their best on the offensive end of the floor.

Despite shooting just 28.8% from the field and seeing star guard Lauren Heard struggle through a 3-17 performance against the physical Okie State defense, TCU managed to defeat the Cowgirls 49-37 at Schollmaier Arena. Kianna Ray led all scorers with 15, including a trio of triples, and Jaycee Bradley added 12. Heard still managed eight points to go along with an impressive 15 rebounds and five assists, while Jayde Woods chipped in six. The Frogs jumped out to a seven point lead after one and kept OSU at arms length, holding them to single-digits in both the second and fourth quarters. They clamped down defensively, as Okie State shot just 25% from the field and went a startling 1-23 from deep.

TCU turned the ball over 16 times in a sloppy game, but forced 12 turnovers on defense and dominated the glass 51-37.

Next up for the Frogs is a Wednesday night date with Texas, a team they haven’t seen since game one of Big 12 play. TCU and the Longhorns will tip off at 6:30 PM at Schollmaier Arena on what will be a busy night for TCU Athletics, who will also be hosting the Night of Champions for football and a baseball game against SFA. If you’re heading to campus anyway, make a point to stop in and watch this team play. They absolutely deserve our support.
