We’re past the NFL Draft now, where 10 Horned Frogs found new NFL homes. Make sure you’re caught up on where everyone landed and how they fit into their new situations. The Frogs O’ War team did a fantastic job of covering the draft.

But now it’s time to get down to business. The business of determining a champion.

Two moments have transcended the field to get to this point. The first, a pinnacle moment that defines a decade and a sport. The second, a beautiful encapsulation of TCU’s under-doggedness overcoming all the odds.

Let’s take a quick nod to the two moments eliminated in the Final Four:

#1 Matt Curry CWS Grand Slam

#2 Catch-22

And now, the final matchup.

#1 Immaculate Deflection vs. #2 Bram’s OT Alamo Bowl TD

Immaculate Deflection

Round 1: def. #16 No More Fireworks (357 votes to 23 votes)

Round 2: def. #8 Schultz HR vs. Texas (718 votes to 590 votes)

Sweet 16: def. #5 Peach Bowl Double-Pass (347 votes to 57 votes)

Elite 8: def. #3 Luken Baker CWS HR vs. Tech (339 votes to 67 votes)

Final Four: def. #2 Catch-22 (432 votes to 128 votes)

TCU entered the Rose Bowl as an underdog to a Wisconsin team that had been absolutely railing opponents with a dominant ground game. Most national pundits thought TCU would get run all over because of their undersized defense. But for the majority of the game TCU and Gary Patterson, led by Tank Carder, kept the Badgers at bay.

A late 4th quarter touchdown drive put Wisconsin to within two at 21-19. Bret Bielema’s team opted to go for two, and after a drive that featured gashing runs, pretty much everyone in the universe expected a run play from the Badgers.

Instead, we got this:

Bram mixes it up with TD run vs. Oregon

Round 1: def. #15 Ryan Merrill Walks-Off A&M (331 votes to 38 votes)

Round 2: def. #10 Morrison 8-pitch complete game (259 votes to 34 votes)

Sweet 16: def. #3 Dawson Pick-6 (222 votes to 164 votes)

Elite 8: def. #4 TCU Walks-Off Texas A&M (246 votes to 135 votes)

Final Four: def. #1 Matt Curry CWS Grand Slam (405 votes to 307 votes)

The TCU-Oregon Alamo Bowl has been talked about by Frog fans so much, there’s almost nothing left to say about it. Bram Kohlhausen will always be a legend because of his performance in this one, and his third overtime touchdown run was TCU’s winning score.
