As confirmed cases of Coronavirus mount all over the globe and right here in our backyard, cities and states have used a host of well-known people to try and get the message out that we need to all stay home.
Here is Fort Worth, Mayor Betsy Price turned to one of the most well-known people in Funky Town, TCU Football head coach Gary Patterson, to help share the city’s message of “Y’all Stay Home”, launched... I have no idea. What are days, anyway.

Rife with football metaphors, Coach P talks about his love of a great defense and needing a great game plan against a tough opponent, the Coronavirus. He reminds us that it’s going to “take the whole team” and that we “know the drill: six feet”. He also doesn’t want to see any flags for illegal use of the hands — touching the face.
Lastly, Coach Patterson tells us that all of Texas is on the same team, and that we all need to work together. It’s a great message from a well-respected figure across the state and the country, and hey, if it helps, I am all for it.
Thanks Coach P for doing your part — now the rest of us need to do ours, so that we can hopefully see Gary back where he belongs, roaming the sidelines of Amon G Carter Stadium, this fall.
