Just because football isn’t being played, visits aren’t being made, and the future is unclear doesn’t mean that Gary Patterson and TCU Football aren’t still on their grind. That was proven Thursday night when the Horned Frogs secured a commitment from Chris Murray, a three star defensive end out of Wichita Falls, Hirschi High School.

A former teammate of current TCU running back Daimarqua Foster, Murray transitioned from linebacker to rush end as a junior, earning All State honors after putting together a season that included 61 tackles (24 tackles for loss) and 13 sacks.
A top 100 player in the state, Murray chose the Frogs from among 14 offers, including Texas Tech, Arizona, Boise State, and Washington State. With only one year under his belt on the defensive line, the 6’3”, 240 pounder is sure to draw more interest in the coming months.
With two seniors expect to anchor the defensive line in 2020 and just one pass rusher signed in this past class, defensive end is a huge need for the Horned Frogs in the class of 2021 and beyond. TCU is off to a great start in filling that need with the addition of Murray.
Welcome to the Frog fam, Chris!
