The Frogs are now 1-0-1 early in the season.
“Obviously we’re the first TCU team to play this fall, and we take pride in that,” Bell said. “We know it’s our responsibility to get a good result at home.”
TCU goalkeeper Emily Alvaredo was one of 16 TCU and Texas players to kneel before the game on Saturday.
“We’ve had a lot of really good conversations as a team,” Alvarado said. “A lot of my teammates and my head coach Eric Bell have shared their experiences and that has really opened our eyes, especially my eyes, to the issues they face in their everyday life.
“For me, it really hit close to home. I know it did for a lot of my teammates, too, so we wanted a way to use our platform to be able to show that we’re unified with the Black community and that we won’t stand for the injustices they are facing.”

TCU announces modified spring break, condensed semester to reduce travel | TCU 360
There won’t be an official spring break, but rather a “spring refresh.”
The semester will begin Jan. 19 and conclude April 30, with final exams set for the week of May 3.
There will be no classes between Tuesday, March 9 and Thursday, March 11 as part of the on-campus refresh.
“While this modified calendar eliminates traditional Spring Break to reduce travel and the potential for spreading COVID-19 and the flu, we remain focused on the benefits of pausing to refresh while keeping our Horned Frog family as safe and healthy as possible,” Boschini wrote.
