Massive get for Jamie Dixon.
Top JUCO big man in America.
Doumbia originally hails from Mali, but more recently he’s been at Navarro Junior College, just an hour and a half from TCU’s campus. He’s rated as the No. 1 JUCO center in country per 247 Sports’ Composite Rankings, standing at 7-feet tall and 215 pounds, for the class of 2021.
Doumbia held offers from Cincinnati, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi State, and Houston as well as TCU.
Currently the Frogs only have two big men taller than 6-foot-9 on the roster: Kevin Samuel and Eddie Lampkin, so Doumbia is a significant addition for more than just height purposes. Last season TCU tended to struggle with bigger front courts, especially when Samuel found himself in foul trouble.
Welcome to the Frog Fam, Doumbia!
