TCU Baseball’s season is so close to starting, you can almost smell the fresh cut grass.
Wednesday, Jim Schlossnagle and the Horned Frogs released the entirety of their 55 game schedule, including 29 home games and two neutral-site tournaments.
The Frogs open their 2021 campaign locally in Arlington, where they will participate in the State Farm College Baseball Showdown at Globe Life Field Feb. 19-21. The Frogs will face Ole Miss Friday, followed by Mississippi State on Saturday and Arkansas Sunday.
Their home opener is a one-ff with Texas Southern on Tuesday, Feb. 23, which precedes a three-game series against Liberty on February 26-28. The homestand concludes with a March 2nd date against Stephen F. Austin.
For the ninth time, TCU Baseball will take part in the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic at Minute Maid Park, where they will face Texas State (March 5), Sam Houston State (March 6) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (March 7). The road trip continues March 9 at Texas State and concludes March 10 at UTSA.
(editor’s note: for those of you wondering why the Shriners’ Classic field is a little less ‘prestigious’ than usual, just know the Aggies are 100% ducking TCU )
As per usual, the Frogs will get a little West Coast flair in March, but this time it’s at home, with Gonzaga coming to town March 12th through 14th. A weekend trip to Louisiana for a three game series against the Ragin’ Cajuns follows March 19-21.
The Frogs will start a four game homestand Tuesday, March 23 against Tarleton State. The start of Big 12 Conference play is set for March 26-28 against Baylor.
A season-long eight game road trip commences March 30 at UT Arlington. TCU will head North to take on Oklahoma (April 2-4) followed by a midweek game at Tarleton State (April 6). The road trip concludes with a three game series at Texas Tech (April 9-11).
Oklahoma State (April 16-18) kicks off a seven game homestand. UT Arlington will make its lone trip to Lupton Stadium on April 20 followed by a three game series against Kansas (April 23-25).
The Frogs will complete their midweek series against UT Arlington (April 27) on the road. A trip to Morgantown for a three game series against West Virginia (April 30-May 2) follows.
A season-long eight game homestand begins with a May 4 contest against Incarnate Word. The Frogs final home Big 12 series starts May 7 when Texas comes to town. A midweek tilt against UTRGV follows May 11. ULM heads to town for a three game series May 14-16. The home slate concludes May 18 against Texas State.
TCU will close out the regular season at Kansas State May 20-22.
The Big 12 tournament returns to Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City May 26-30.
Ticketing and crowd policies for the 2021 season will be announced at a later date.
