In a somewhat abnormal episode of the Ryan’s Ramble podcast, I dive into topics beyond just my sports betting picks such as Gary Patterson’s sudden departure from the TCU Football program.
You’ve likely heard #ThankyouGary a million times by now, and if you click any of the links to the podcast, you’ll hear it again. It wouldn’t have felt right to record this week’s episode without at least giving my two cents on the situation as a whole.
To hear my full take, you’ll have to listen to the podcast itself. So for now, let’s talk sports betting.
Last week we finished with an 8-5 record which was good enough for the SEVENTH consecutive winning weekend here at Ryan’s Ramble. We haven’t had any crazy 12-0 weekends or anything like that, but slowly and surely we continue inching further and further into the green.
8-5 last week puts Ryan’s Ramble at a 63-48-2 record on the year, good enough for a 56.8% win percentage. Of course the goal here is to simply make picks and have a good time doing so, but I can’t help but love the feeling of winning.
Losing seven weeks in a row is far easier than winning seven weeks in a row, so I’m always on my toes, somewhat waiting for a potential downfall. That’s how the cruel world of sports betting works. Well, not this week.
Seven weeks down, on to eight in a row.
Before we get into my official card, here is what we learned from this past week of college football, a segment I like to open up each episode with:
What we learned last week:
- The College Football Playoff committee is dumb
- Cincinnati is screwed
- Kenneth Walker III is a man amongst boys
- Texas is STILL not back
- The Big 10 is the conference to watch
- The PAC 12 is impossible to predict
For more context on each of these talking points, be sure to check out the full length episode on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or YouTube!
I won’t waste any more time! Here is my full card for week 10 in college football:
