After waiting two years, we finally got to witness actual NCAA Tournament games on Friday. And what a glorious day of Madness it was – overtimes, wild upsets, incredible performances. The day was highlighted by 2-seed Ohio State losing to Oral Roberts, which eliminated 4 of our entrants who thought they were playing it safe by taking the Buckeyes in Round 1. The game that knocked out the most entrants on the day was Purdue losing to 13-seed North Texas in overtime – removing 10 entrants from the pool. Oregon State continued its Cinderella run, pulling a stunner in the ever popular 12-5 match up, as nine entrants were eliminated when the Beavers defeated Tennessee.

When the dust settled on Day 1, 32% of the field was eliminated, including our previous two winners. A new Survivor Champion will be crowned.
The Longhorns are feeling the love in their match up vs. Abilene Christian, as the dominant selection for today’s games, with fellow Big 12 squad Kansas a distant second. How many will survive into the Second Round?
