Quarterback Battle
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers have met on the football field more than once. In fact, they’ve met exactly 3 times. Brady has a head-to-head record of 61 for 97 completions with 805 yards and 5 touchdowns. Rodgers isn’t far behind going 64 for 116 on completions with 787 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
Now, they’re set to meet again, but not on the football field. Instead the two will team up with Golfers, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau. Mickelson and Brady taunted their opponents on social media with memes and playful jabs.

The tournament will be named ‘the Match’ and it will be televised on TNT on July 6th. Much like other tournaments Mickelson has recently played in, money will be raised through the competition for charities like Feeding America and others.
Rodgers Future at Green Bay
A couple weeks ago Aaron Rodgers went public in an ESPN interview about his plans and future at Green Bay. The quarterback voiced he had no interest in returning to the organization for the 2021 season. The Packers on the other hand, have stated that they are “committed to Aaron in 2021 and beyond’.’ The team has been approached by the San Francisco 49ers as well as the Los Angeles Rams about potentially trading for Rodgers. Both organizations were turned down almost immediately.
So what’s been done since then? Well the Packers have offered Rodgers an extension on his contract and Rodgers has responded by participating in a golf tournament and enjoying a Hawaii vacation with fiancé, Shailene Woodley. I think it’s clear that Aaron was serious about his desire to not play with the Packers next year, so when will Green Bay take the hint?
Bizarre, Embarrassing, or Both?
All sports have their fair share of injuries. All of the accidents are almost always justified, whether it’s a hard hit or an awkward ankle twist. However, even the most athletic can have a rather unathletic injury. Cleveland Indians pitcher, Zach Plesac, was placed on the injury list for a fractured thumb. What’s unathletic about a pitcher with a hand injury? Well the fact of the matter is that this injury didn’t happen on the field, but in the locker room. Plesac fractured his thumb in the process of “aggressively ripping off his shirt”. What? I’m not even sure how this happened but props to Zach Plesac for having the most bizarre injury in the MLB so far this season.
