While TCU football has been busy adding to the 2022 roster this offseason, Horned Frog coaches have also continued blazing the recruiting trails for prospects to join the 2023 class. Their efforts have garnered results over the last month, with a trio of three-star recruits and one four-star prospect giving commitments to the purple and white.

Perhaps the most notable addition to the Class of 2023 came on May 14, when four-star wide receiver and former SMU commit Cordale Russell announced his recommitment to the Horned Frogs on social media. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder had flipped from SMU to TCU when the Mustangs lost head coach Sonny Dykes and most of his staff to the Horned Frogs, but Russell reopened his recruitment when former lead assistant and recruiting ace Ra’Shaad Samples departed TCU to be the running backs coach for the Los Angeles Rams.

The Horned Frogs currently hold the 36th ranked recruiting class nationally for 2023, with Russell leading the way as one of five players currently listed as hard commits. TCU scored two three-star prospects near the end of April in offensive tackle Trevor Goosby and athlete Rohan Fluellen. Goosby is a 6-foot-6, 280-pounder from Melissa, Texas who chose TCU over Colorado State and Jackson State. Fluellen, a 6-foot cornerback who hails from Gilmer, Texas, decided on the Horned Frogs over Houston and Louisiana Tech.

TCU’s most recent addition to the 2023 class came on May 20, when offensive lineman Brione Ramsey-Brooks committed to the Horned Frogs. The three-star guard comes from South Oak Cliff and chose TCU over Arizona, Houston and Georgia Tech. The 6-foot-5, 360-pounder has been a mauler at the high-school level and will fortify the future of the interior offensive line, which saw another recent boost in ASU transfer Ezra Dotson-Oyetade.

TCU hosted three 2023 prospects for visits on May 20 including four-star offensive lineman Markis Deal as well as three-stars Brock Glenn and Zachary Chapman. Three-star offensive lineman Andre Cojoe visited the Fort Worth campus on May 13.
