Game Thread: TCU Basketball vs. Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils

TCU Men’s Basketball is 3-0 after a dominant 2nd Half led to a 33-point victory over UT Rio Grande Valley on Tuesday as JaKobe Coles again powered the Frogs attack with 16 points while Jameer Nelson Jr. & Avery Anderson III each dropped 15. TCU made 10-11 free throws and shot over 47% from three-point range while getting out on the run for 25 fast break points. The Horned Frogs are back in Schollmaier Arena on Friday night to face the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils.

The Devils are among the worst rated teams in all of college basketball; in 2022-23 MVSU went just 5-27 overall, including a 45-point beatdown at the hands of the Horned Frogs. MVSU was a unanimous choice to finish last in the SWAC preseason poll this season and has already suffered three losses by 30+ points, albeit against power conference opponents, LSU, Oklahoma, and UConn.
