Game Thread: TCU Football vs. Oklahoma Sooners

Join the conversation for the season finale and the final Big 12 battle between the Horned Frogs & Sooners

NCAA Football: Oklahoma at Texas Christian Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The TCU Horned Frogs (5-6; 3-5 Big 12) travel to Norman on Black Friday for the season finale vs. the Oklahoma Sooners (9-2; 6-2 Big 12) at 11:00, broadcast on FOX. It will be the final regular season game as a member of the Big 12 Conference for Oklahoma, as it will begin play in the SEC in the 2024 season. TCU has not won in Norman as a member of the Big 12, last winning there in 2005 when the Frogs held All-American RB Adrian Peterson to just 63 yards on 22 carries.

Oklahoma QB Dillon Gabriel is likely to be available despite taking a minor injury last week vs. BYU; he’s thrown for over 3,200 yards on the season with 27 touchdowns and just five interceptions plus over 300 yards and 11 scores on the ground. If he’s unable to go, Oklahoma has a capable reserve waiting in the wings, with five-star true freshman Jackson Arnold ready to roll. The Sooners have split the rushing game across its stable of backs, but it’s been Gavin Sawchuk the last three weeks, crossing the century mark on the ground in each game.

Can the Horned Frogs earn bowl eligibility, spoil Oklahoma’s Big 12 Title chances, and boot the Sooners out of the Big 12 with one final loss? Join the conversation in the comment section below as we ride the game day rollercoaster together. Go Frogs!
