The second TCU wide receiver from the 2023 roster has entered the transfer portal, with news breaking Sunday evening that redshirt freshman D.J. Allen will depart from Fort Worth after two seasons as a Horned Frog. A former four-star recruit from the 2022 class, Allen missed his first season with an injury, but saw only limited action during the 2023 season, finishing with two catches for 10 yards in three appearances. The Gladewater, Texas native will join former TCU wide receiver and four-star prospect Cordale Russell in the portal.

TCU has seen 10 players enter the transfer portal since the 2023 season conclude. Those include Allen and Russell as well as offensive lineman Jasper Lott, cornerbacks Ish Burdine, Jaionte McMillan and Mason White, linebacker Jonathan Bax and safeties Chace Biddle, Randon Fontenette and Daveion Crawford. With Allen’s departure, TCU has lost its top three players from the 2022 class, which included Biddle and wide receiver Jordan Hudson.
