Football: TCU DL Rick D’Abreu declares for the 2024 NFL Draft

The former East Carolina transfer will pursue his professional career after one year in Fort Worth.

TCU redshirt senior defensive lineman Rick D’Abreu revealed his intentions to enter the 2024 NFL Draft in a social media post this past Friday. The former East Carolina transfer spent one season with the Horned Frogs, appearing in 10 games and recording 12 total tackles. D’Abreu arrived in Fort Worth after spending four seasons with East Carolina, where he compiled 72 total tackles along with six sacks and one forced fumble.

After five seasons of collegiate football, D’Abreu will look to hear his name called during the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 280-pounder from Chester, Virginia had 4.5 tackles for loss along with one quarterback hurry and 0.5 sacks for TCU during the 2023 season.
