The Horned Frogs added its ninth player from the 2024 transfer portal, and its fourth offensive lineman, with North Texas transfer Howard Sampson announcing his commitment to TCU on Monday morning.
Listed at 6’ 8”, 325 lbs, the redshirt freshman from Humble, TX played in four total games during his two seasons with the Mean Green, listed on the depth chart at Left Tackle. A three-star prospect out of high school, Sampson has propelled TCU up to No. 5 overall in the national transfer portal team rankings per 247Sports. He joins fellow TCU OL transfers Bless Harris (Florida State), Carson Bruno (LA Tech), and Cade Bennett (San Diego State).
