Men’s Basketball: TCU’s Emanuel Miller named Big 12 Player of the Week

The senior forward led the Horned Frogs to two wins, including a buzzer-beating winner at Georgetown

Emanuel Miller delivered a March Madness worthy moment in December for the Horned Frogs on Saturday in Washington DC, nailing a one-footed buzzer-beater off the glass to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, delivering an 84-83 win over the Georgetown Hoyas in the Big East-Big 12 Battle.

It was a banner day for the senior forward, delivering a career high 29 points, on 12-18 shooting including 75% from three-point range. The standout day has earned Miller the honor of his second career Big 12 Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.

It wasn’t just Saturday’s game vs. the Hoyas included in the past week, as TCU also took down Houston Christian on Monday, where Miller led the Horned Frogs is scoring with 19 points. Across the two games, Miller averaged 24 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 block.

TCU will next travel to Miller’s native Ontario, Canada for a neutral site contest vs. #24 Clemson Tigers from Toronto’s Coca-Cola Coliseum on Saturday December 9 at 3:00 PM, broadcast on FS1.
