The TCU football team continued losing players to the transfer portal on Tuesday, with news coming out that freshman linebacker and former three-star recruit Jonathan Bax will depart after only one season in Fort Worth. Bax becomes the third TCU player from the program’s 2023 recruiting class to leave, following cornerback Mason White and wide receiver Cordale Russell. Bax appeared in 10 games this season, but did not record a tackle.

TCU has seen a plethora of defensive players enter the transfer portal this offseason. The Horned Frogs have already lost cornerbacks Jaionte McMillan and Ish Burdine along with safeties Daveion Crawford and Chace Biddle. Bax, who received preseason hype for his performance in fall camp, becomes the latest defender to depart from the program. The New Orleans, Louisiana native and Edna Karr product will seek out a new home.
